Can I reserve a piece of equipment for my class that's an hour from now?
We are often able to accommodate last-minute requests, but please try to reserve equipment at least one business day in advance. In general, the earlier you reserve your equipment, the more likely it is to be available.

How long can I take out a piece of equipment?
Loan duration is determined by the type of equipment and varies according to demand. We try to accommodate everyone’s needs in a fair, consistent manner. In some instances, it may be more beneficial for you (or your department) to purchase your own equipment for long term use. We can assist you with any such evaluations.

What if I can't return my equipment at the agreed-upon time?
Please contact us by phone or e-mail ASAP to let us know you can’t return the equipment on time. Late equipment returns directly affect other users. Knowing about a late return in advance allows us to try and minimize the impact on others!

Do you include accessories with loans?
Items essential to operation like power cords or certain cables are included. If you aren’t sure, please ask! We often recommend accessories that might be needed when you request equipment. Items like batteries and media are NOT included- these are the responsibility of the borrower.

What do I do if an item I borrowed is stolen?
It is very important that you report the theft to University Police at 878-6333. Then notify Classroom Equipment Loan that the equipment has been stolen.
