Now that all incoming and outgoing e-mail is using Microsoft's built-in spam filtering functionality available in Office 365, some faculty/staff may see the following fraud detection message appended to the top of certain messages:
This warning typically occurs when a message is sent from a third party domain (rather than from buffalostate.edu) but contains a Buffalo State "Reply To" address. If you recognize the sender and are confident that the message is safe, you can simply ignore the warning. If you don't recognize the sender and are worried the message could be harmful, you can simply delete it or forward a copy to the RITE Support Desk for analysis.
